Our Teaching Toolbox pick-up and drop-off procedures have changed for the 2014 - 2015 school year. Beginning in August of 2014, teachers and educators will have the opportunity to pick-up and drop-off Toolboxes over the weekends and into the first week of their reservation. See Example Below:
If your reservation is set to begin on Satuday, Sept. 6, you have anytime from Sept. 6 - 9 to pick-up your Toolbox. The Toolbox will then be due back 2 weeks after the pick-up date, anytime from Sept. 20 - 23. If the Box is returned after Sept. 23, it will be subject to a late fee charge.
Teaching Toolboxes are teaching resource kits, each complete with touchable specimens, reproducible materials, and related books and information. Designed for K-12 students and community groups, our toolboxes not only allow for unique teaching opportunities, but provide subjects that excite students about the natural sciences. Our museum offers a wide variety of topics, which include:
- C.I. Water
- Digging Dinosaurs
- Field Tools
- Native Utah
- Rocks and Minerals
- Utah's Fossil Past
These boxes are available to check out for free and can be reserved for a two-week period. Information about the individual contents of the toolboxes can be found at the bottom of this page.
