The Museum is hosting the American Red Cross for this special free event as we enter the last month of the Nature Unleashed exhibit.  
  • Hear disaster stories from first responders.
  • Donate blood—The Red Cross will be set up for blood donors.  
  • Learn about the most up to date, method from the Red Cross (demo).
  • Climb in to one of the coolest vehicles the Red Cross uses to provide food and relief to first responders—the Mobile Feeding Unit Vehicle.
  • Experience what it’s like to be in a Red Cross Emergency Shelter, and learn where you should go in the event of an emergency.
  • Make your own personal first aid kit and discover what kinds of things you should include in your family’s first aid kit.
  • Make a card to say thank you to a local wildland firefighter.

Discover the science behind natural disasters and learn what tools, supplies, and knowledge you will need to be fully prepare should a natural disaster strike.  Nature Unleashed: Inside Natural Disasters closes December 8, 2013. 


Regular admission is required to see all exhibits.
